The light is housed in a Made in USA indestructible steel theft deterrent housing to prevent the typical snatch and grab. Even if the knobs are removed the light is still safely attached. The Boat lite is easily adjusted to fit your boats specific ride height.  The patent pending housing also allows The GEN1.2 Boat lite can be swiveled completely down preventing sand blasting while trailering and to also to hide from those wary ducks. The Boat lite features a roll bar on the front so limbs will roll off the housing and not cut into it. The wrinkle powder coating is skid resistant and extremely durable. This light uses prepunched carriage bolt holes to make attachment to any boat seamless and extremely strong, also eliminating the thief from unbolting. The Boat lite comes with 4 Stainless carriage bolts, light, housing, and approximately 1 foot of wire.  The light can be spliced into your existing navigational lights, or you can purchase a complete wiring harness with your light or spice into existing trolling motor wires.   The spot beams, and the flood beams can be wired separately to control individually.  The Boat lite is equipped with reverse polarity protection so you cannot ruin the light if you accidentally wire it incorrectly. CREE is the actual brand name of the LED bulb/ diode. CREE LEDs are Made in USA, and the leader in LED technology.     So good you forget your driving at night

    Just got it in last Thursday and used 4 nights in a row, can't believe I waited so long to purchase. Makes any other fixed light and certainly a q beam obsolete. I found myself running the river as comfortable as if it was during the day. Very easy to install, I have a 1654 tracker and had to drill casing in order to fit my bow but was no problem at all. I would suggest it to anyone for the convenience of it much less the safety (hands free compared to my old way of running trot lines with a q beam).
    I wish there was a way to post pics or a video of us running at night as that's the only way you could really appreciate it.

    Awesome light! It's everything the discription claims to be - I have yet to see a duck boat light better built!

    Light was submerged under 15-20ft of water for 6 mo's and still works!

    I had my mud boat sink in early December after hitting a submerged log at speed. The boat was recently pulled off the bottom of the Eno River in North Carolina. I was curious to see if the LED light bar would still work, so I hooked it up to a battery and it still worked just fine! Was dirty and nasty as all hell, and not pretty, but this thing still worked! Very impressed as the depth was 17 ft at the time and would've been higher earlier in the year after all of the rain we had. Awesome quality and product. Backwater motor was also good after having it cleaned and serviced at a local shop.

    I run a full time waterfowl guide service in central Florida. All my hunting is though small cuts and dark trails! My southern led is a game changer! No more holding a spot light or using a head lite to set up decoys. If you don't have one.... Get one!

    Just installed the boat lite on my 2015 excel replacing the lights from the excel. The boat light is the best light on the market by far! I have had many different lights on a few boats in my years, and this is the most durable and brightest light out there! I can't wait to use it this season!

    Great light very durable, fit and finish is great. Also its fully adjustable feature id great. And this light is extremely bright. Its 6500 kelvin is a brilliant white.

    Exceptional quality, tremendous amount of lumens spread perfectly across your field of view, and a reasonable price. You won't find another light bar this good

    The Southern Lite LED Boat Lite is the baddest light on the market hands down. I bought a brand new Xpress boat and this was my first addition to it. Perfect flood pattern and an excellent spot projection for any terrain. An excellent addition to anyone's rig. I would highly recommend it.
