Warranty Information
A copy of the original invoice is required for warranty repairs or replacements. All warranties are non-transferable.
Southern lite LED stands by its products and it is very important to us that our customers are satisfied.
Southern lite LED guarantees its product will be free from defects. If you believe your product from Southern lite LED is defective or if there is a problem with your order, you must notify Southern lite LED, fill out the warranty claim form, and the product must be returned to Southern lite LED. If Southern lite LED verifies that the defect was not caused by abuse, unauthorized repair, negligence, or disassembly, Southern lite LED will determine whether the product will be repaired or replaced.
For any warranty claims, please email us at warranty@southernliteled.com. After contacting us, the product must be shipped back with a copy of your original receipt/invoice (proof of purchase) and a copy of our warranty claim form. Please write legibly and follow directions on claim form.
Unless otherwise noted, Southern lite LED products have limited lifetime warranty that follows the Warranty Timeline below.* If Southern lite LED determines, in its sole discretion, that your product is defective, Southern lite LED will honor your warranty from the date of your original invoice (required for returns). Please note that you must pay shipping charges to return you product to Southern lite LED. We will reimburse UPS or USPS ground shipping at our discretion. Southern lite LED will determine the proper handling of all warranty claims. All warranties, expressed or implied, are void if Southern lite LED determines that there is sufficient evidence of one or more of the following; Abuse which is defined as damage beyond limits of “normal wear and tear” (Pressure washing is not considered normal wear and tear) Repair service performed by an unauthorized service center; Negligence defined as improper installation, improper use, etc; And removal of screws on light housing which can compromise the integrity of the water-tight seal.
Warranty Timeline
- First 60 days: Defective product (determined by SLL) will be repaired or replaced at Southern lite LED's sole discretion
. If it is determined to be defective all UPS, USPS ground shipping costs to return product will be refunded.
- After first 60 days through the first year: Defective product (determined by SLL) will be repaired at no cost and shipping costs for returning product will be refunded.
- After the first year: Defective product will be repaired and customer is responsible for all labor and shipping costs. Parts will be covered.
- Southern lite LED strives to always offer the newest technology and considering the constant advancements in LED lighting, if your product is discontinued and parts are no longer available, Southern lite LED will offer the new version of your warrantied defected light (determined by SLL) for a discounted price.

*Southern lite LED Remote Light, Strip lights, WL12, WL27, CUBE, and all lights found in the emergency line (rock light, strobes, surface modules, etc.) have a 1 year limited warranty. These products will follow the schedule above through the first year.
Product Definitions/Disclaimers
Definition of IP67, IP68: These are ratings given to describe the suitability of enclosures for conditions such as rain and dust. IP stands for “ingress protection rating.” The first number in the rating (IP68) indicates the particles for which enclosure is rated. A “6” means it is an enclosure that eliminates most dust. The second number (IP68) describes the potential for intrusion by water. A “7” means it can protect internal devices in an immersed condition up to one meter in depth, testing is limited to only 30 minutes. An “8” means that the enclosure can be continuously immersed in water over one meter in depth. (IMPORTANT NOTE: These standards are based on new fixtures, the maintenance of the equipment and aging are not figured into these classifications)
Definition of LED: “light-emitting diode,“ A semiconductor diode that converts applied voltage to light. A couple advantages to LEDs are lower energy consumption (many of Southern lite LED products can be run off a 9 volt battery), longer lifetime (30000-50000 hour life), and smaller size.
Southern lite LED Remote Control Light disclaimer:
The magnetic mount is not intended to be a permanent mount or for use on any vehicle in motion and should only be applied to flat, clean surfaces for temporary uses. Use of the magnetic base in such situations, may lead to conditions that are unsafe and result in damage to the light which Southern lite LED is not responsible for or will warrant.
DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY AND NOTICE OF NON-COMPLIANCE for SLL Navigation Lights
All vessels are required to utilize proper navigation lights from sunset to sunrise in all weather conditions, good and bad. Operators of vessels are legally responsible for displaying lights of the proper color, intensity, location, and visibility on your vessel at the appropriate times. It is not the responsibility of Southern Lite LED, LLC to ensure that any vessel has the proper or requisite navigation lights.
Southern Lite LED, LLC merchandise may not comply with United States Coast Guard regulations or any other regulations regarding navigational lighting. Southern Lite LED, LLC merchandise is strictly for illumination purposes and not designed to comply with United States Coast Guard requirements or any other regulations or requirements regarding navigational lighting. Please consult with the proper authorities regarding regulations and requirements for navigational lighting.
Purchasers of Southern Lite LED, LLC products are responsible for ensuring on their own behalves that their vessel has the proper navigational lighting that complies with all navigational rules, requirements, and regulations. Purchasers of Southern Lite LED, LLC products assume any and all liability for their improper, illegal, or incorrect navigational lighting and agree to hold Southern Lite LED, LLC harmless from any and all claims asserted by anyone based upon claims of improper, illegal, or incorrect navigational lighting. Purchasers of Southern Lite LED, LLC products agree to defend and indemnify Southern Lite LED, LLC from and against any claims made by third parties for damages, costs, or expenses, including attorney’s fees, incurred by Southern Lite LED, LLC arising out of purchaser’s non-compliance with any rules, requirements, or regulations regarding navigational lighting.
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Southern lite LED LLC's liability to the other party for direct or indirect damages exced an amount of the purchase price of the products sold to that party. Southern lite LED LLC shall not, under any circumstances, be liable upon a claim or action in contract, tort, indemnity or contribution, or other claims relating to the products it sells which exceeds this liability limit. Southern lite LED LLC shall not be liable for third party claims for damages against the customer, or for malfunction, delays, interruption of service, loss of business, loss or damage to exemplary damages, whether or not Southern lite LED LLC has been made aware of the possibility of such claims or damages.
